State law changes in land use laws were reviewed by Bill Morris. Mayor Butler gave a report on the status of the municipal building and senior center, which has a current completion date of September 13, 2005. Animal control is proposing new changes as yet not completely developed. The fire district is proposing to site some new locations, with the possibility of a bond election, to provide better coverage. Brian Wood was arrested on January 6, 2004, within our boundaries after a high speed chase. He was found guilty on June 25, 2005, of three attempted aggravated murder counts for shooting at three officers during the spree. The counts are first-degree felonies, which carry a five years to life prison term. He was paroled for the fifth time in 15 years in the fall of 2003. Bits and Pieces Kyler Steven Ito, son of Steven and Kristie Ito, was born June 30, 2005. Mark Hodson is the Chair of the Weber County Fair Board of Directors. Debbie DeVries and Brad Slater also serve on the board. Owen Harper Westergard and Quinn Harper Westergard, twin sons of Sam and Molly Westergard, were born June 22, 2005. Emily Meyerhoffer, Wendy Jo Volkert and J. R. Simmons graduated from Weber State University. Seniors graduating from Fremont High School this year from our community are Josh Burr, Ryan Butler, Kylee Deru, Josh Dimick, Richard Draper, Shantel Eddy, Michael Hancock, Asia Blue Hensley, Megan Hirschi, Mitch Hufstettler, Ananda Jones, Tyree Lassen, Maegan Layton, Jason Mecham, Christine Price, Boe Rutherford, Brandon Savage, Marcy Spencer, Cheisie Stanger, Jerrica Syme, Candice Wadman, Abby Westmoreland, Lindsey Williams, Jennifer Wilson, and Tara Yates. The Fremont Silver Wolves Girls Soft Ball Team advanced to the State 5-A Finals. Haylee Adam plays on that team. Fremont High School's Fourth Quarter Honor Rolls included Kate Lassen, Dennis Mecham, Erin Spencer, Cheryl Hoth, Quenton Jones, Heather Milne, Lindsey Slater, Kylee Deru, Richard Draper, Shantel Eddy, Tara Yates, Kiera Dimick, Joshua Dimick, and Pamela Draper.
