Or do you just need a life?! Marriott-Slaterville City is looking for people interested in joining a city orchestra. We need people who can already play an instrument (woodwinds, brass, string, or percussion) on at least a high school level. It will a volunteer orchestra. Discussion/action on conditional use permit application for motel and restaurant on 400 North adjacent to I-15 by Frank Blair. 3. Mediation report on Mill Creek Subdivision. 4. Discussion/action on final approval for the Mill Creek Subdivision, not to exceed 30 lots, located at approximately 2000 West and 200 South. 5. Discussion/action on conditional use permit for seasonal amusement recreation pond at 810 West 1700 South by Cory Combe. 6. Discussion on site development standards of single family dwellings. 7. Public hearing: amended budget for FY 2004-05. 4. Public hearing: tentative budget for FY 2005-06. 5. Discussion/action on amended budget. 6. Discussion/action on final budget for FY 2005-06. 7. Resolution 2004-A approving inclusion within county dispatch district. Discussion/action on "Public Nuisance Abatement Law" ordinance. 9. Status on senior center and municipal building. 10. Groundbreaking Ceremony April 11, 2005, at 3:00 p.m. the public is invited to attend a ground breaking ceremony for the new senior center and municipal building at 1570 West 400 North. Arbor Day Arbor Day is April 29, 2005. Lynette Deru is conducting the activities for this year's event which will be a poster contest. Arbor Day started in Nebraska on April 10, 1872. Today, cities and states recognize Arbor Day with a variety of events. Contest Rules: Posters Due to City Office by April 22, 2005. All entries must be original artwork. (Cartoon characters, celebrities, business names, or copyrighted material not allowed). Entries must be done in marker, crayon, watercolor, ink, acrylic, colored pencil, or tempera paint. Original photography may also be used. Posters must be created in one of the specified mediums, but submissions promoting the importance of trees in art forms other than posters are welcome. This might include crafts like quilts, carvings, woodwork, or needlepoint. Computer generated printing is not accepted. The poster must be dark enough for reproduction. The recommended poster size is between and including 81/2"xll" and 14"xl8". Other sizes acceptable, but must be suitable for display. Posters should be signed by the author in the lower right-hand corner on the front with first and last name. The theme must appear on the artwork and be easily seen from a distance. Possible themes may include: Trees are terrific...and energy wise. Trees are terrific...in cities and towns. Trees: Nature's Brilliant Invention. Trees Make a World of Difference. The winning artwork will be exhibited in the city office to promote awareness and contributions that trees make.
