During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show July 19 - 56 Up and Down the Street UPL Charts Oct. 8 Meet To Ponder Stock Split Directors of Utah Power and Light Co, Wednesday called a special meeting of stockholders for Oct. 8 to submit proposals to split the firm’s 2,220,000 shares of outstanding common stock on a basis of two to one. If the stockholders approve, it will be the first time the company has split its stock. The proposal also would increase and change the firm’s authorized capital stock from 2 ½ shares of no-par common stock to 7 ½ million shares of common stock with a par or face value of $12.80 per share. UP&L stock closed Wednesday at $53 a share, a new high for the year. Stockholders of record at the close of business on Sept. 8, 1956, will be entitled to vote at the special meeting to be held in the office of the company at Augusta, Maine. Notice of meeting, proxy and proxy statement will be mailed to stockholders after Sept. 8. |
