During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show January 25 Wednesday Snowed hard to day about 8 inches of wet snow. Rec’d letter from Charlotte Rich - Richards wrote from Wash DC and letter from Mary - Peery Attended Rotary and heard Rupert W Hardy give splendid talk. This evening Cleone and Royal gave nice dinner for the Family in honor of Ralph’s niece - nice family gathering. Oertel seems a little better in some respects. Dr Jr and Blanche called. Sent check for dues in S U P. and also check for health insurance to Mutual Benefit of Omaha Marion Eeleson Cawley brought a beautiful temple apron and presented it to Oertel to day A beautiful gift and a dear friend. January 26 Thursday Warm today snow is gone off rapidly 430 at 7 p.m. tonight I have been home all day except for brief trip down town with Cleone. Myrene called. Insurance adjuster called to see me about claim for eye operation ect and he paid me check for 355.00 in full. Better than I expected on my policy. I wrote cards to Mary and Avon and Thair. Have read some Oertel so much the same Seeing her slowly sink is terrible. |
