Had nice dinner at Dr Jrs Carolyn cooked the nice dinner After dinner I accompanied Dr and Mrs. Fred Matthies (Clare Ecces) and Children to the 43 ward and after Alan Eccles Shaw (Claire's son) was baptized and Confirmed a member of the L.D.S. Church I acted as voice in the confirmation A dear joy. I in afternoon I visited with Dr Jr to Plain City to see his house -- poor feed -- house poor Spent evening at home alone. This afternoon. This afternoon Sister Ballinger and her mother a dear old lady from Parowan called to see mee March 24-25 Sat.-Sun. Beautiful day Temp 70o Dr Lynn Crookston and his Wife Melva and little daughter Wendy and Myrene went to Salt Lake and attended Sister Harry (Dolly) Russell’s funeral at 1 pm. In the 18th ward chapel. She was age 89 and a wonderful,noble woman who had done endowments for 3900 people in the Salt Lake Temple besides working as a temple worker for 20 years and raised a good family of 7 Nice funeral and she was buried in the city Cemetery in Salt Lake City We met the family at church and at the Cemetery. We did not get to city in time to go to the mortuary for the viewing. I visited the grave of Ben E Rich in cemetery - not for long Mrs Russell’s grave. We called at Ted & Jannath’s (Cannon) and had refreshments after the burial and then came home tired. I had nap after getting home Ms Russell's daughters were at at funeral and Hus, Harry and Ray, but Orson was in Hospital in Tennessee and could not be present. - Sunday - nice day.
