Also letter from daughter - Mary Rich Peery Tribune Oct 10 - 56 Death Strikes Ex-Solon, Rancher, 93 Wilford W. Clark Sr., 93, Salt Lake City, retired rancher and Idaho legislator, died Monday at 2:30 a.m. in a Salt Lake hospital, of natural causes. One of the first settlers in Bear Lake County, Idaho, he represented the county in the Idaho State Legislature both as representative and senator. Mr. Clark was bishop of Montpelier, Idaho, First Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for 9 years prior to his release in 1910. He was born Feb. 2, 1863, in Farmington, Davis County, to Ezra T. and Mary Stevenson Clark. Mr. Clark married Pamilia Dunn on July 22, 1885, in the Logan Temple. Two years after her death on Oct. 12, 1933, he married Pernecy Bagley, who died April 12, 1943. Surviving him are sons, W. Woodruff, Salt Lake City; William O., Orovo; Royal D., Montpelier; Elmer R., Oakland, Calif.; Homer K., Ogden; Howard M., Idaho Falls, Idaho; Russell B., Artesia, Calif., and Le Grand, Georgetown, Idaho; a daughter, Mrs. Leland G. (LeOra) Larsen, Salt Lake City; 35 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren, and brother, Joseph S., Salt Lake City (102 years old and believed to be Utah’s oldest man), and Amasa L., Farmington. FUNERAL SERVICES will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. in Georgetown, where friends may call at the residence of Le Grand Clark Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. Burial will be in Montpelier City Cemetery. ther! Wilkinson, president of Brigham Young University, who was admitted to Latter-day Saints Hospital last Friday after suffering a heart attack, was reported in “fair” condition Tuesday. October 11 Thursday Little cloudy to day and much rain. I have been home nearly all day. Myrene and I called to see sister A.L Brewer and I called to see Claire M Rich at 10 people and he is better. I also visited him in evening with Bp Austin Shaw and we administered to him. Also called on Dr Russell Petty in Hospital. He is better Have read. Nothing special except as related |
