Show The Salt Lake Tribune, Monday, April 16, 1956 Salute to Founder of Season’s Ne Like the popular song “Love and Marriage” important events and fashion shows do so go together - like Saturday afternoon at the Town Club. The annual founder’s day luncheon paid tribute to one of Salt Lake’s most distinguished civic and philanthropic leaders, the late Mrs. F. C. Schramm, founder of the club, but the occasion was set to the theme of lilting music and lovely ladies parading springtime’s prettiest fashions. What did we see? Sophisticated clothes for spring into summer...smooth silks and linens and cottons, in suits and dresses topped with close fitting bolero like jackets or little capelets expected to carry over into warmer days for shoulder coverups. Mrs. D. R. Wheelwright ‘First’ for Utah Federation Ogden Names Candidate For ‘Clubwoman’ Title OGDEN - Mrs. D.R. Wheelwright, a member of the Utah Federation of Women’s Clubs 24 years, has been nominated by the Ogden district as its candidate for the title, Clubwoman of the Year, to be conferred for the first time to a Utah clubwoman in recognition of her civic achievement. She was a member of the Women’s Legislative Councils in Salt Lake City and Ogden and in 1941 organized the Ogden council.
