This collection contains 74 diaries of Dr. Edward Rich and his wife Almira. They begin in 1892 and run through 1965. The bulk of this collection centers on Almira's diaries that run from 1897-1947. During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show S.L. Executive Seeks Utah House Office E.Q. (Ted) Cannon Jr., manager of Salt Lake Stamp Co., Saturday announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for state representative from the 12th District in Salt Lake County. A native of Salt Lake City, Mr. Cannon was educated in the local public schools, the Uni- Mr. Cannon versity of Utah and the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. He graduated from the University of Utah in business in 1941 and received an M.B.A. degree from Harvard in 1943, graduating at the head of his class. He was a captain in the Army Quarter-master Corps during World War II, and worked as a renegotiator of government contracts after the war. He has been active in the Republican Party, serving as a strict chairman and as a delete to state and county conntions. He is a member of e bishopric of South 20th ward, Church of Jesus Christ of tter-day Saints. He is mard, has four children and rees at 323-2nd Ave. |
