Show The Good July 1, 2005 Marriott-Slaterville The Freedom Celebration will be held at Marriott Park, 1150 S. 1200 West. The Little Miss Marriott-Slaterville Pageant will be Saturday at the park. Monday, a 5K run begins at 8:30 a.m. There will be two breakfasts, one at Marriott Park or Slaterville Park, 250 N. 2200 West. Line up for parade begins at 10:30 a.m. at 700 S. 1200 West, parade begins at 11 a.m. and goes to Marriott Park. Lunch will be held at Marriott Park at 11:30 a.m. After lunch will be games, Softball, pie contests, super slide and a senior center auction. and the Bad July 3, 2005 Man hurt in mishap with tow truck MARIOTT-SLATERVILLE A Pleasant View man was transported via helicopter to Ogden Regional Medical Center Tuesday following an accident with a tow truck on the intersection of 2000 West and Pioneer Road. Skyler Boerins, 21, was in critical condition following the accident, which occurred around 11:45 p.m. Sgt. John Morrow, Weber County Sheriffs Office, said a preliminary investigation revealed the tow truck was traveling north on 2000 West when it ran a red light. Morrow said the truck then smashed into the victim's car, which was traveling west on Pioneer Road. A witness to the accident said Boerins' vehicle then spun out of control, went over a curb and nudged another car at a gas station on the southwest corner of the intersection. Morrow said the victim sustained head injuries and internal injuries. No one else was injured in the accident. |
