Utah UT The Letter Drop TO THE EDITOR Never have we enjoyed a sweeter spirit than we did at our October DUP meeting. Due to an extended illness, which in¬cluded removal of a previously implanted hip socket, Daughter Donna Cromar, unable to attend our meetings, invited us to come to Terrace Villa Nursing Home. Here she acted as hostess. She greeted us wearing a new bed jacket and was radiant as her warm smile welcomed each of us. Pat Cromar, her daughter, was a special guest and co-hostess for this meeting. We thought we would accommodate Daughter Cromar by bringing this meeting to her, but found that the reverse was true. She blessed us with her sweet spirit and her eagerness to participate. If any camp has daughters in similar circumstances, I would recommend they give this a try. It worked for us. LaVae Cook, Captain Warren F. Reynolds Camp East South Salt Lake County I just received your newsletter, "Legacy," which I read at once. I express my love to you from the daughters in our camp for this, and for the lessons and the enjoyment we have in hearing them. We are new but growing with five new members recently added. Our love to all. Ireta Shurtz Josie Bunker Walker Camp Delta, Utah We wanted you to know that on March 7, 1985, Daughter Nita Barney Davidson, Camp Belknap, Elsinore, Utah, with her husband, Dean Davidson, entered the L.D.S. Missionary Training Center prior to serving as missionaries in the Ohio-Akron Mission. Daughter Nita has been an active member of the DUP for a number of years and has served as captain, first vice captain, relic hall custodian, and in many other capacities. We will miss her, but are happy for this new calling and wish the Davidson's much success and happiness. Mary S. Johnson, Secretary Camp Belknap, DUP Elsinore, Utah |
