South Cache at Weber. North Cache at Bear River. Box Elder at Logan. WEBER HIGH casaba experts and South Cache cagers will provide the leading contest this week in the northern division. The two teams will clash Friday night at the Weber High gymnas¬ium in a contest that promises to provide four periods of thrills. South Cache, tied with Logan for second place with three victories and one defeat, will rule a favorite, but Mark Ballif's athletes may spring a surprise. Weber nosed out North Cache last week by one point thanks to Ahlberg and Wimmer. South Cache walloped Bear River and Preston had little difficulty in taking the measure of Box Elder. Dick Kapple's rangy Tigers con¬tinue to lead the parade with four consecutive victories and no de¬feats. The Ogdenites performed like national scholastic champions last Friday to upset the Logan Grizzlies, 38 to 19. Ogden's polished and well bal¬anced team assumed command of the situation after the first three minutes of play and were never headed. Six members of the Tiger aggre¬gation, Bengoschea, Aguirre, Nor¬ton, Briggs, Agricola and Deming, are stand out cagers. They have had plenty of experience and once they click they make it miserable for the opposition. Ogden and Provo, in the opinion of most critics of the state, are the big favorites to win the state gon-falon at Salt Lake in March. Ogden, runner-up last season looks like a sure shot to capture remaining games in the northern division. The runner-up will also qualify for the state title and the third place team must defeat the winner of the Rich division for the other post frojn northern Utah.
