Sunday January 3, 1954. Colder today. A slight sprinkling of snow this evening. Mother better, but she has been in bed most of the day. Dr Jr called and gave her another dose of penicillin and stuptomycin. Royal and Cleone called this evening. I attended Sunday School and Priesthood meeting but did not go to fast meeting. Retire at 1020 pm. Monday January 4, 1954. Little sprinkling of snow last night. Nice day to day. I have been home all day. Myra is feeling better. Gladys and Lila called on us today for few minutes (Dr Ezras daughter) Dr Jr and Blanche called this evening. Recd several letters today. I am so glad mother is better. Tuesday January 5, 1954. Nice day. Myra does not feel so well today. She has been in bed all day. I have not been out of house today. Heber and Lucile called this evening. Also Cleone and Dr Jr. I have read some and wrote to our son Col Thair and Charles J Cozzens at Ft Bragg Va. Hever and Lucile called this evening. Mother has been in bed part of the day. she has had some pain in abdomen. Dr Junior other about 10 pm. Wednesday January 6, 1954. Mother called me at 2 am and she had severe pain in chest and left arm. I gave her netroglyserne and demoral but while she was relieved some she did not get better. I remained awake and up at frequent intervals giving her sedations. At 630 Dr Junior came over and gave her demeral in vein. she slept for 2 hours and felt better. We took her to Dee Hospital at 10 am. An elegtograph cardigraph was taken and showed large thrombosis of heart. She was returned to room fairly comfortable but suddenly expired a few minutes after. Cleone Eccles was in room with her and Dr Jr was just out side of room in hall. She did not realize death was near. Mother was sick only ten hours and in the hospital only 2 hours. She walked in the back room only 2.5 hours before her death.
