During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Friday March 12, 1954. Still cold and stormy. Recd letter from Roland Woolley and cards from Cleone and little from Mary. Joy Beetly and I went ward teaching but found only one family home. Saturday March 13, 1954. Still cold about 33 and clowdy. I have been home all day reading biography of my dear wife which I am preparing for printing. A brief one for distribution among her friends and family. Dr Jr called and Oertel had Wendy here for a short time. A dear little girl. We listened to Adle Stevenson and Vice President Nickson discuss politics over radio. Sunday March 14, 1954. Nice day. A meeting of the Rich family organization on reunion in August was called for 10 am in Dr Jrs office in Ogden so I could not go to Sunday School. We had 2 hour meeting and decided to have the reunion in Logan July 31 and August 1 and arranged for the affair LeGrand Humphery is chairman Good spirit prevailed. Oertel and I ahd dinner at Dr Jrs. Nice Later we called on Margaret Pugmire she is not well and quite feeble. We visited cemetery and later I called on new nebams across the street. Mr & Mrs. Walter M Zillyitt Nice people. Methodist. Monday March 15, 1954. Some wind today. Myrene and I attended the funeral of Mrs. John Carr age 84. I have reead and have written two letters. Good cards from Cleone and Mrs. Alice Willing. Nothing special. |
