During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Friday January 15, 1954. Nice day about 45 in middle of day no snow in town except patches in places. I went out ot Lindquists and paid mothers funeral expenses 1070. Everthing nice. Beautiful service at church Cleone and Myrene were here during day. Oertel came home early. Many letters of condolences still coming from relatives and friends. So many dear friends. Saturday January 16, 1954. Beautiful day about 48. No snow in town. Cleone and Myrene came up and brought ford etc. Oertel came home very tired. Many cards and letters of sympathy came. Have written some letters thanking people for their kindness and sympathy. Went for a ride with Cleone. We visited cemetery. Flowers on grave not frozen. A trying time. rearranging house especially mothers things. |
