Students enrolling in CHF 2600,2610 and CHF 2620 will be working with families and children; the State of Utah requires a background check and clearance. Applicants must be fingerprinted and complete a background check before being fully accepted into the program. CHF 2890 - Cooperative Work Experience Credits: (1-6) Typically taught: Fall [Full Sem] Spring [Full Sem] Summer [Full Sem] Open to all students in the Child and Family Studies Department who meet the minimum Cooperative Work Experience requirements of the department. Provides academic credit for on-the-job experience. Grade and amount of credit will be determined by the department and faculty advisor. CHF 2920 - Short Courses, Workshops, Institutes and Special Programs Credits: (1-4) Typically taught: (when needed) Consult the class schedule for the current offering under this number. CHF 2990A - Seminar in Child Development Credits: (l) Discussion and analysis of readings and selected topics in growth, development, and education of the young child. CHF 3150 - Consumer Rights and Responsibilities Credits: (3) Typically taught: Fall [Online] Spring [Online] Summer [Online] The role and responsibilities of the family and its members as consumers.
