LichfieldBefore a beautifully arranged background at the Ogden Golf and Country Club on Friday, Miss Lynne Rich and Robert Eugene Lichfield received guests at a large reception, following their marriage in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Adam S. Bennion performed the ceremony.The popular bride is a daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Junior Edward Rich, 1453 Marilyn Dr., and the bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Eugene Lichfield, 2862 Tyler Ave.The bridal party stood before an arch of white gladioli and eucalyptus leaves interwoven with lights, flanked on each side with tapers in a 16branch candelabrum arranged with gladioli an|d small white wedding bells. Two floor standards of white gladioli completed the setting.The bride was lovely in a Weisberg Boyer original of ivory satin and lace, fashioned with a portrait neckline edged with lace and soft folds of satin forming the short sleeves. The full skirt swirled into a long Duchess train. Her veil was of Chantilly lace, which had been worn by her mother and other members of the family, and her bouquet was of white orchids combined with stephanotis and Johanna Hill roses with a shower of ivory satin streamers. Adorning her neck was a pearl necklace, a gift from the bridegroom.Attending her were her sister, Mrs. Marvin Lewis, as matron ofhonor; Miss Carolyn Rich, another sister, Miss Laurine Ellis of Berkeley, Calif., Miss Carol Nord and Miss Kathryn Kay as bridesmaids. Their balletlength gowns were of Arabian green velveteen, fashioned princess style with tiny cap sleeves. Their headdresses were double bandeaux of matching green leaves studded with rhinestones. They carried bouquets of Johanna Hill roses tied with gold ropes accented with rhinestones.Orchid corsages complimented the models of aqua marine silk with bodice of re embroidered Alencon lace, highlighted with pearls and iridescent sequins; and the bluegray crepe with gun metal bead trimming at the neck and sleeves, worn by Mrs. Richand Mrs. Lichfield, respectively.The best man was Duane Farr.A lovely wedding cake was featured on a table covered with an ivory satin cloth with maline ruffle, accented with garlands of small bronze chrysanthemums and cupid candelabra holding ivory tapers. Bowls of roses centered the refreshment table.Those who assisted at the wedding were Mrs. Adam Patterson Jr., Mrs. Wallace H. Ellis, Mrs. Marriner A. Browning and Miss Barabara Lichfield.After the reception, the young weds left immediately for a two week trip to the West Coast. Brewer Jr., takes place on Wednesday, has chosen her sister, Joanne, to be maid of honor, and Miss Jane Hammond, Miss Shirley Doan and Miss Darlene Tribe, bridesmaids.She has been extensively entertained during the past two weeks at parties in her honor.Mrs. George V. Tribe and Miss Darlene Tribe were hostesses at a buffet supper with the bride as honored guest.Mrs. Robert Salmon gave a dinner party at her home, and Mrs Walter McPhie, Mrs. Don Steph ens and Mrs. Edward Jacobs were cohostesses at a picnic can yon party at the South Fork summer home of Mrs. McPhies parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Jones.Mrs. Horace Palmer and Mrs. Richard Barker entertained at a shower. Fellow employes of the bride to be gave a dinner party at the Mansion House for her.This morning, Miss Jane Hammond and Miss Shirley Doane are entertaining at a breakfast for Carol Jean, at the home of Miss Hammonds parents, Mr. and Mrs. 0. C. Hammond, on Swaner Place.Tomorrow, Mrs. Joseph W. Brewer will present Carol Jean at a tea at the Brewer home from 3 to 6 oclock. On Tuesday, the night before the wedding, Mr.and Mrs. Brewer are giving a picnic for the two families and the bridal party at their summerhome in South Fork Canyon. The bridegroom arrived last night from Ft. Bliss, El Paso, Tex. |
