During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show 11 Ogden Stakes Near Goal for Tabernacle FundMembers of the LDS stakes in the Ogden area have paid 80 per cent of their assessment for the construction of the new Ogden Tabernacle, according to Albert L. Bott, chairman of the finance committee.Two of the 11 stakes, Ben Lomond and Mount Ogden, have paid their assessments in full, Mr. Bott said. It is expected that the total for the 11 stakes will be paid by the end of the year.Construction work is reported to be progressing satisfactorily. Installation of the white cast stone walls is completed and material is available for the construction of the 165 foot tower at the northeast corner of the edifice.A feature of the auditorium is a balcony at the east end, with seating capacity of 300. Another feature is a large cry room.It is expected that the Tabernacle will be ready for occupancy in the spring of 1955. The cost is estimated at 650, 510 including furnishings and landscaping. |
