Vocational & Applied Technology Programs General Information Director: F. Ann Millner Location: Promontory Tower, room 304 Telephone Contact: Margaret Andersen 626-6067 Student Services Vocational and applied technical education includes those vocational programs of less than a baccalaureate degree. To be employable in 1, 2 or 3 years consider one of the applied technology programs which prepares the student with a technical skill, license, certificate, or diploma upon completion of the program. Applied Technology Program descriptions follow the descriptions for bachelors degree programs in each departmental listing. Four-year bachelor degree programs are also options for applied technology students at the University who change their aspirations and opt to continue in school rather than seek employment at the conclusion of their vocational/technical training. A ladder concept is often built into bachelor degree programs which allows stop-out points for employment in a skill area. All Weber State University student support services are available to students who enroll in applied technology programs. Such services are designed to help students select appropriate career goals, maximize their learning potential, gain hands-on experience, and achieve successful employment. Applied Technology Education programs offered at the University are listed below. The type of degree and the specific requirements for each program are outlined in departmental listings.
