430 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday academy. When the student graduates they are certifiable as a special fundions officer, basic corrections officer and law enforcement officer. The night academy is divided into two modules. The first, or core, provides training required for certification as a spedal function officer and basic corrections officer. The second module continues with training for certification as a law enforcement officer. The night session is part-time and is held Monday -Thursday, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The night academy is approximately eight and one half months long. Both day and night sessions provide the students with certification that allows them full corredions and police powers after being appointed by a corredions or law enforcement agency (police, deputy sheriff, Utah Highway Patrol, Utah Department of Corredions, etc.).
