Show Sunday, January 10, 1932. A beautiful day. We remained in bed late. Had on early lunch. Dr Baker came over. At one oclock PM. I went up to the 12 Ward to arrange for a lecture given by Mrs. Burton who is employed by US to plan for care of Indians there are 35000 at present in the US. The depression during the past year has worked a hardship on them also. Many things were said in their favor. This lecture was given the first hour of RS Union meeting. There was a good attendance, several visitors present from other stakes. This evening Dr & I attended Sacrament meeting in the 18 Ward. The 7 Ward gave a cantella. Very well done. We took Bro & Sister Pond home in our car. Thair & Cloteel came in awhile this evening. Monday, January 11, 1932. I have spent today gettign my home in order. Took down the Christmas Tree etc. Mrs. Nielson came over to report some unemployed cases. Mrs. Wheelwright came on Red Cross Buisness. Junior & Blanch came in this evening. I wrote a letter & Dr read. Also peiced so blocks for Relief Society. It has been a beautiful day. Had some more snow. |
