During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Friday, February 19, 1932. Met with Acacia at Martha Cooleys. Gave a part of the programme. also The Permanent Court of International Justice. The Covenant and Pact of Paris. Mrs. Margret Wright gave Treaties. Dr and I saw three one act plays by the Weber College palyers at the 18 Ward. Myrene went to Cal. to visite Mary. Left the babies home with her maid. Saturday, February 20, 1932. Dr and I got up late & had breakfast Erastus Merrill had dinner with us. At two oclock had a meeting with Stake Relief Society Pres. of Weber Co to consider putting over on exhibit of the different things made in our work & buisness meeting the past year to be shown in Salt Lake at April Conference. Did some shopping came home late but finished my Sat. cleaning etc. Fierce battle rages as Nippowese attack along 18 in front Invaders opeso hole in defense and begin enveloping movement at Shanghai. Casuality list enormous. Air planes bomb Chinese lines. |
