Show Scene of Terrific Battle The map shows the location of the principal points involved in the great Japanese offensive at Shanghai. The offensive thus far has been marked by three phases, centering at Chapei, the Chinese settlement; at the Woosung forst and village of Wossung, at the mouth of the Whangpoo river, and at Kiangwan, midway between Chapei and Woosung. Kiangwan changed hands three times Saturday in desperate fighting. |
