Thursday, September 22, 1932. I have spent all morning telephoning etc arranging for work at the canning factory. The four LDS Stake RS are arranging to put up fruit as it is so plentiful and can be had for the howeling. Our Aim is to can 5000 of peaches & 5000 of tomatoes so we may better help the unemployed and those in need. I prepared dinner for Dr Erashis Murrell Ralph Cozzens & Margret Cozzens who is living with us. Went to luncheon at Rosella Larkin at three took part in Pioneer programme at 12 Ward at six had a committee meeting here with Ida Treeseder, Tam Clark & Bishop Terray on the work we hope to put over at the factory canning fruit. Friday, September 23, 1932. The weather feels like Autumn. I have been down town with Myrene looking for myself a coat but did not get one. Bought vegitables for pickles. Have accomplished very little. Called all Ward Relief Society Pres. in Mt. Ogden Stake asking each one to call six wemon to give their service pealing peaches next Munday at Greigs Factory. the four Stake Relief Societies expect to can 5000 quarts of peaches. One hundred & twenty wemon will work all day Munday.
