Show Wednesday, January 20, 1932. Dr drove to Salt Lake City to attend directors meeting of Knight Sugar Co. Also to see the Zions Bank. which he ows some money. Mrs. Wheelwright and I did not go out on family service work so I spent the day in sewing. This evening I attended RS Board meeting. Social Service lesson from Overs streets books. Habits & invironment, heredity. Mrs. Hurst was voted in as board member to teach social service. Mrs. Pond brought me home. Dr out making call. Thursday, January 21, 1932. I have spent today at home reading & writing. Wrote letters to Lucile, Hancok my sister in NY to Avon R Smart Coakville Wyo. & My niece Phyllis Cozzens in SLC. Dr & Thair & Dr operated a Dee Hospital. This afternoon Dr went down to Layton to Nevada Ranch meeting. Myrene & kiddies were down for awhile Dr Junior called Dont know when a day seemed so long unusual for me to feel this way. Martha Cooley also called for awhile. It is a very cold night. Wrote to Drs Sister Mary Ann Was ask again today to act as State Committee Woman from Weber Co for Republican Party. But due to so much other public work & church work. I am doing declined also Drs wish I should not accept. |
