Congratulations to you, Kirk Black—Mr. Baseball of 1964. Mr. Track. Delane Bell. One thing about BLHS’s track meets Brent Belliston Niel Bergeson Kirk SCOTS LAKERS _ Denny g ng with a javelin and I purposely sat more than 206 feet away from the javelin throwers so I wouldnt’ get stuck ’eause it hurts; then I watched the rest of the track meet ’cause it was really interesting and we were really doing good but Delane Bell hurt his leg and we lost our big chance for second place and maybe even state ‘cause he only came in seventh in the mile and they just give points to the first five and so we didn’t get any, but other than that it was fun sitting behind Highland’s cheerleaders all in black and white, not blue, and they were sitting behind some girls from East High who were cute because they went to East High, and Ben Lomond’s new cheerleaders were there so it was a big cheering contest between Highland and Ben Lomond ’cause no one from Bountiful, who came in second,, thought their school would do much but they did and I bet everyone was surprised ’cause I sure was and I don’t surprise very easy but when I do, zowie, I really do and, all in all, it was a blast, or a “steam” as Highland calls it, and I lived happily ever after. 000 .
