Show March 27, 2008 Emergency workers receive honors Weber Area Dispatch 911 and Emergency Services District had its seventh annual awards banquet March 18. The district provides communications services, taking emergency 911 and nonemergency telephone calls from residents and sending the appropriate responders as needed. Recipients were Matthew Graves, 2007 Dispatcher of the Year; Kimberly Gibson, 2007 Supervisor of the Year; Rebecca Roma, 2007 Emergency Medical Dispatcher of the Year; Kevin Kelley, 2007 Most Valuable Peer; Kathleen Strebel, Medal of Merit; Chris Eckersley, Penny Jones, Karen Larsen, Kris Munford, Boni Nourse, Andrea Osiek, Becki Roma, Kyley Slater, Sue Smith, Noreen Stone and Jim White, of the Employee Committee, and Matt Jackson, Kyley Slater, Jim White, Penny Jones, of the 10-80 (Vehicle Pursuit) Review Board, all received Excellent Work Awards. The award for 2007 Outstanding Incident went to Patricia Campion, Christine Eckersley, Justin Gard, Heidi Kovalsky, Jennifer Moore, Moreen Stone, Jim White, Vaughn Cavender and Hollie Brown in an April 29, 2007, weapons incident at Karol's Mobile Home Park in Roy. Services Awards went to Kimberly McAllister, 25 years; Patricia Campion, 15 years; Karen Larsen, Christine Eckersley, Catherine Pommier, Matthew Jackson, 10 years; and Sarita Hammond, James White, Scott Decaria, five years. Kyley Slater Honored April 22, 2008 Meyerhoffer Melvin and Joan Meyerhoffer celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at the Timbermine Restaurant & Steak House. They also celebrated with friends at the Gray Cliff Lodge Restaurant. They were married on April 22, 1958. He graduated from Weber High School, and she graduated from Bonneville High School. He is a linehaul driver for ABF Freight. They reside in Marriott-Slaterville, where she is a home-maker. Their children and their spouses are Susan and Jeff Sebraneck, Ray and Dar Meyerhoffer, and Dee and Suzanne Meyerhoffer. Joan and Melvin Meyerhoffer They have eight grandchildren. 176 |
