The fire began in the dry fields near 500 South and 2700 West around 6 p.m. and firefighters were still on the scene three hours later. The fire covered a large rural area, running from 200 South to 500 South. Traffic was blocked and directed around the fire, where firefighters sought to control the blaze and protect barns and trees in the area. More details were not available at press time. 40
