Show August 23, 2002 Marriott-Slaterville landlocked KEITH JOHNSON/Standard-Examiner Construction continues on a new bridge along 1900 West near 12th Street in Marriott-Slaterville Wednesday. Road construction brings speeding drivers, lower revenues By WINA STURGEON Standard-Examiner correspondent MARRIOTT-SLATERVILLE - When it comes to this little city, you can't get there from here. You can hardly get there from anywhere. North, south, east, west -the orange barriers and crawling lines of traffic isolate the city with a surrounding belt of road work. To the west, the freeway is under construction. To the east, Wall Avenue is down to one slow-crawling lane. The 12th Street freeway on-ramp to the north has been closed off and on, and to the west, 1900 West is also under KEITH JOHNSON/Standard-Examiner Afternoon traffic crawls past construction on the new bridge. 53____ Drivers are frustrated because they've probably been waiting in traffic clear back to Box Elder County.
