Dr is buisy at the office every day do not now much of what he does except that he makes many examinations for the Federal work and Rail Roads Looked over a lot of back papers this evening & Dr intended to go to office but was too tired. Tuesday, January 12 No smoking Recd a letter from Thair who is in school at Fort Leavenworth Ks. Is enjoying his work expects to go from there to Fort Jackson South Caroline Cloteel & Ruth will go with him as expects to be there 6 mo. He is a grant man & sure makes good wherever he goes as does Junior. Thair Lt. Col. M.C. Junior Major MC and Staff Surgeon at Stockton Air Base Hospital. Spent the afternoon & Evining in Salt Lake City With my sister Lucile & her son Douglas. He was to take plane from S.L.C. to Kansas at 4 A.M. Wednesday, January 13 Arrived home with Lucile from Salt Lake City at 12 P.M. Had a nice day. Douglas Hancock intended taking plane to Kanas where his asigniment in Navy service will be for a few months. He is a fine boy. I slept late prepared lunch and did up house work. Cleone came in for awhile. Will do some writing. Wrote to Gladys, Cloteel & David. Did knitting for Red cross until 11 P.M. Thursday, January 14 Went down town did several errands. Have done writing and rested some. Called on Mrs. Dixon. Dr & I attended Knife & Fork Club at Ben Loman. Guest speaker was Henry J. Allen, former Governor of of Kansas also Senator he gave a fine talk on Eng has recently been there by plane to study housing & shelter of children etc
