This evening Heber and Lucile called she brought us an apple pie & liver of chicken made in a delicious apatizer. Dr and I attended 18 Ward Mutual. Wm Z Terry talked on the life of Charles C. Rich Drs father. Dr gave some interesting facts of his Pioneer day. Going over the Mts. On snow shoes many times from Bear Lake to Cache Valley, etc. Wednesday, March 10 My brother Mark and his daughter drove from Midvale here to have her little boy operated (tonsil). This evening I attended a testimonial given by the officers of Mt Ogden Stake in honor of Valbor Wheelwright who has served for twenty seven years as a Stake Board R.S. member and done untold Social Service work. A wonderful women. I was one of the speakers as we had served togather on the Weber Stake and Mt. Ogden Stake. Thursday, March 1 Have spent the day on Books. Cleone called. She had spoken at 9 L.D.S. ward for Red Cross. War about same, rationing of meat Butter, fats, cheese & other eatables will be rationed soon. Wrote an old friend Rose Ballantyne. Dr has had a buisy day until 8 P.M. Broken arm confinement and house call to a drunken woman.
