Myrene is down from the canon today had lunch with us. she later went to see a home Mrs A.L. Brewer may buy. As she sold her home on Jefferson. Most all my days are taken up keeping house etc. Weather warm Elaine, baby Sandra Hancock go East tonight. They & Lucile called. Recd letter from Thair in which he tells us he is going from Camp Jackson S.C. to Washington D.C. to study for 8 weeks at the Army School of Tropical Medacine. Clotell expects to be there with him & leave Ruth & Richard in Calif. where they are at this time. Aug 26 Aug. 2,000 tons of bombs were dropped on Berlin Aug. 23 Lord Louis Mountbatten gets Command of war on Japan. Roosevelt warns Germany to Surrender now |
