Show Wednesday, February 24 Lucile my sister and I went down town for an hr. We bought some very nice things marked down one third & one half cost. Have worked on looks some but since I am listening to Dr read aloud do nothing but Red Cross knitting while he is reading. Thursday, February 25 Cleaned floors of kititchen, bath, hall & Breakfast ooms also laundried my bed spread. I am unable to get help just no one to get, so I am buisy every minute am owing a lot of letters so much get them answered. I do like to receive them. this evening Dr & I called at the Simpson home to see Margret Simpson & her Husband. Taylor married some mos ago. She did house work for me when I was sick. Friday, February 26 Have accomplished little today. Attended Acacia Club at Mrs Rosella Larkins, Dr H.A. Dickson gave a fine talk on teaching. Cleaned library this A.M. This eve listened to Dr read and raveled out all I had knit on a sweater at club which shows I am a better listener than doer. Saturday, February 27 Have cleaned downstairs. Had a very buisy day. Lieutenant Colonel Thair Rich, U.S. medical corps, son of Dr. and Mrs. Edward I. Rich of Ogden, has been transferred from Camp Grant, Rockford, Ill., to Camp Jackson, S.C., and has left with his wife and daughter Ruth for their new home. Feb 1943 |
