Cool lovly day Spencer Kimball, Is New Apostle SALT LAKE CITY, July 15 Church officials announced today appointment of Spencer Kimball of Safford, Ariz., as a member of the council of twelve apostles of the Latter day Saints church. President Heber J. Grant made the appointment. Kimball now is president of the churchs Mount Graham stake of Arizona. Tune Detective Will Appear Tonight Sigmund Spaeth, tune detective, will appear tonight at eight oclock at the Weber college auditorium. His subject will be Fun With Music. Dr. Spaeth is brought here under the sponsorship of the Soroptimist club. Recd card from Mary she is very buisy with company & putting up fruit. Has no help. Carlyn Smart has gone up to Myrenes for a few days. She sews very well & makes most of her cloths & has done for several years. She is now 14 yr old & a lovly good looking girl. Dr spent yesterday in M.C. Convention at Bushnell H. Dr. went early to Dee hospital to assist Dr Hancock operate This evening Dr and I went to Weber College to hear Dr Sigmund Spaeth on Music for Fun very interesting I heard him six years ago. He is acomposser & writer etc. The Allies are making fine head way in Scicily also in Pacific.
