Show Sunday, February 28 Dr and I attended Sunday School We had dinner with Cleone & family. We called on Dr and Mrs Frank W. Baker who are both sick. Rested some n afternoon and spent the evening listening to Apostle Stephen L. Richards his talk was wonderful on Washington and Lincon. Read some & retired at 11 P.M. Monday, March 1 Am To entertain the Ladies Aux to Weber Medical Association. Sixteen were present. Mrs Joan Emmett gave a book review. Mrs Lorna J. Draper was voted president for the coming year. I served hot mince pie & grape juice. Dr has his income tax all arranged. Has to pay about 2,500.00 seems a lot but nothing to do but pay it and be glad we can Among Ogdenites who attended the Marian Anderson concert at Kingsbury hall Tuesday night were Dr. and Mrs. Edward I. Rich, Mrs. Junior Edward Rich, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph W. Brewer, Mr. and Mrs. Roy D. Thatcher, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Thatcher, Mr.s I. Bruce McQuarrie and Mrs. Charles G. Cowley. Mar 2 43 Wednesday, March 3 Other than house work I have botled ten qts. of fresh apples. War looks more encouraging. However the death & distruction is terriable. Had a lteter from Mary. She is anxious for us to visite her but we shall stay home since it is no time to travel unless needful. Dr finished reading aloud U Meet General Grant by W.E. Woodward. Very interesting. |
