Tuesday, May 11 Mr. Van der Veene cleaned woodwork and walls of the kitchen and I have also done cleaning of stove refrigator & cupboards. Read late this evening. Dr not quite so buisy at his office today. Wednesday, May 12 Cleone and I spent the day in Salt Lake City. Went to see Bill Flowers who is disining & making a white & black flowered Jersey cloth formal for me. Spent some time at geanealogical rooms. Had lunch at Z.C.M.I. Tea room with Cleone & her daughter Cleone & girlfriend after which called on Oertel & my brother Earl Ruby his wife in Calif. Thursday, May 13 Have written to Junior and Mary, Dr & I called at Blanchs this eve. Edward had a new bycicle. Blanch had a cold. Spent evening reading. Nights are cool. Friday, May 14 Dr and I heard Primeminster Winston Churchill talk over radio at Wash. D.C. to the Coast Guard of London & all England. He is a wonderful man we have completed his biography by Rene Krause enjoyed it. Sat May 15 Cool day rain tonight Mrs Frank Ellis announced the engagement of her daughter Telithas to John Lindquist. Very nice party. Myrene took her son Rich and other boys to the Salt Lake Temple to do baptismal work. I wrote to Thair and also Junior. Janath & Ted Carmon called a minute on their way to Salt Lake from Boston where they have been the past 18 mo. Ted graduated with honors from Harvard.
