Show Wednesday, January 27 Mr & Mrs Sawyer friends of Avons who are from Calif. came to spend the day. He is here for Wool mens Convention and is Pres. of the organization of Calif. Very fine people. They had lunch with us after which we showed them some of Ogden & then to meet our family. This evening Cleone had a nice dinner for them Avon, Dr & I. Later we came home to see Drs pictures Thursday, January 29 Avon psent some time at the dentists. After lunch we attended D.U.P. meeting at Myrenes. Had nice refreshments and a good programme. This evening Ester Welty Stevenson and her husband called for an hr between trains. She was Avons roommate for three years at Arm Arbor U. Friday, January 29 Oertel came up from S.L.C. to spend the day. The four girls and I had a delicious lunch with Lucile at her home and visited the afternoon. Had such a good time. This week Avon Dr & I listened to Lt. James Whittaker co piolet on plane which went down with Eddie Richenbacker and six other men in the Pacific. Whittaker & companions drifted for 21 days on rubber rafts diet 6 oranges & a few fish very interested Saturday, January 30 Avon is out to lunch with Katherine Becker Perkins. I have done some shopping and rested a short time after doing up work left over for a day or so. He and I |
