Show March 14, 2002 The 2001 Weber County dairy princesses are (from left) Amber Hadley, attendant; Angie Spencer, princess; Mitzi McFarland, attendant. Dairy princess pageant slated Applications are now being accepted for the 2002 Weber County Dairy Princess Pageant. Applicants must be single, between the ages of 17 and 24 and have a grade point average of 2.8 or better. Candidates will be required to learn some knowledge of the dairy industry and be familiar with various types of dairy foods. Entry deadline is April 4. The dairy princesses will represent the Dairy Farmers of Weber County and help promote the dairy industry. This year the princesses helped with Farm Field Days, Plain City Dairy Days, the Weber County Fair and have ridden in several parades. The princesses performed a nutrition play in the elementary schools around the county where more than 2,000 children learned about dairy products. The pageant will take place at 7 p.m. April 20 at Majestic Elementary School. This is a scholarship pageant where the princess earns $500 and the attendant each earn $300.
