Show Alumnews 1930's 1960's Letitia W. Palmer, class of 1930, has been elected to serve as West Box Elder Justice of the Peace. Rodney S. Page, class of 1960, was the successful Republican candidate for Davis County Attorney in last November's election. Kleon Kerr, class of 1934, has been honored by the Theta chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, international honorary society for women educators. He received a plaque in recognition of his contributions to education as a teacher, principal and district administrator. He has also been active in government and civic affairs, having been mayor of Tremonton for six years; a member of the state house of Henry J. Dickamore, class of 1961, will serve in the Utah House of Representatives, for District 15. . Michael Macfarlane, class of 1962, has been named director of public relations at McKayDee Hospital Center. Prior to this appointment he was employed as an account executive with Pierson Kearney Advertising. Michael and his wife Judy live in Kaysville with their four sons a state senator Roger F. Rawson, class of 1964, led the Democrats to victory for the four-year Commissioner post for Weber County. John Wilford Fowers, class of 1936, and his wife Irene are now serving in the England Manchester Mission of the LDS Church. They are stationed in Barrow-in-Furness, which is about 120 miles northwest of Manchester. They will return to the U.S. in May. George 1950’s elected S. Malan, class of 1958, was elected to Board of Education Carl Rahkonon, class of 1976, receive Fulbright grant for graduate study in Fifl during the 1982-83 academic year. He isat toral student in musicology at Indiana Un Curtis Youngman, class of 1972, has been selected as Outstanding Teacher of the Year at Utah Technical College, Salt Lake. He has taught classes in marketing, advertising and sales at the college for the past four years, and has been involved with the students as a counselor. Karen Fackrell, class of 1974, has been named the new Head Nurse of the Fourth South nursing unit of McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden. She has been at the hospital for the past nine years. Susan Hill McCollum, class of 1979, rece graduated from the Brigham Young Unive Law School. She also attended Oxford Ur sity in London, England. Love, class of 1975, has been named a professional medical representative of the Syntex company. He will provide health care professionals in the Ogden area with medical background and usage information on Syntex pharmaceutical products. Prior to his new appointment, Evan was a sales representative for Owen Labs/Alcon Labs. class of 1956, will serve as a four-year commissioner for Davis County. the Weber Marsha Ann T. Martin, class of 1975, elected to the Morgan Board of Education - Vance C. Pace, class of 1955, and _ evening school faculty member, visited Ogden during the holiday season from Suva, in the South Pacific Islands where he is stationed with the United States Information Agency. His responsibilities there include a cultural exchange program and America’s relations with the media. He joined USIA in 1964 and has spent most of his career in Latin America. Glen Michael Bell, class of 1975, was namedipi manager of Universal Mobility Inc., an inten tional designer and builder of autom monorail transportation systems base Holladay, Utah. He was a senior mech engineer for Becton-Dickenson ~ munodiagnostics. a Erickson, class of 1971, and his wife Tom Welch, class of 1969, was named to the executive committee of the Smith Management Corp. He is also vice president and general counsel of that organization. After his graduation from WSC he received a degree from George Washington School of Law. He lives in Salt Lake Citv. Olene S. Walker, class of 1951, will represent her district as a member of the Utah House of Representatives. She lives in Salt Lake City. was was Carl M. Kenneth J. Alford, class of 1950, has been elected to the Utah House of Representatives for District 7. class of 1955, 1965, Dr. Richard E. Kendell, class of 1967, has been named associate superintendent for planning and external relations for the Utah Education Assn. He has been the acting chairman of the department of educational administration at University of Utah; associate dean for academic affairs in the U of U's graduate; school of education and associate dean. Storey, class of 1948, will serve a two-year term as Commissioner of Weber County beginning this month. for Precinct of been named to the Board of Directors of Rocky Mountain State Bank. After attending WSC he entered Tulane University in Louisiana, and was awarded a Juris Doctorate degree from University of the Pacific in Sacramento. He is presently practicing law at Diumenti, Harward and Nelson in Bountiful. Before he began his private practice he was the chief criminal deputy at the Davis County Attorney's office. Harold J. Tippetts, class of 1946, was elected to a two-year term on the Davis County Commission last November. They plan to specialize in farm and commercial real estate. George Chino, Ir., class of 1975, has been promoted to sergeant with the Utah Highway Patrol, Weber and Davis Counties Julie LaVine (Adams), class of 198 reporter for Channel 4 News in Salt Lak Division.
