Show news 1930’s&40’s JAMES L. SUNDQUIST, ‘34, was awarded G. JAY BUTLER, ‘62, recently received a master's degree in Public Health from Loma Linda University. He is a pioneer in the nursing profession as a family nurse practitioner in Idaho and Oregon. He is currently providing health care for a logging community in Oregon. the D.B. Hardeman prize for the best book on Congress for the two-year period 1981-1982. Anderson is in charge of Continuing Professional Education programs for Fox, and coordinates firm training. He also coordinates audits made by the Provo office. JAMES J. WHETTON, '41, president of Jim Whetton Buick in Ogden, Utah, has been named as a recipient of the 1984 TIME Magazine Quality Dealer Award. Whetton's dealership is one of only 65 dealers in the entire nation nominated for the TIME honor. Recipients are chosen by a panel of judges from the University of Michigan Graduate School of Business. C. DIRK RAAT, '59, was named Director of International Education at the State University of New York at Fredonia, during the Kasling Memorial Lecture in September 1983. SHERON (WHITLEY) KALLERUD, ‘64, was recently awarded a pink Cadillac by Mary Kay Cosmetics, Inc., in recognition of her leadership and sales achievements. This company awards diamonds, minks and exotic vacations to top achievers in the 169,000 member sales force, but the pink cadillac is the ultimate symbol of success in Mary Kay because only 688 pink Cadillacs have been awarded out of 4,200 sales directors. ECCLES, '70, executive vice presi- dent for First Financial Programs, a Salt Lake City based firm, has completed the requirements and been awarded the professional designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP). The title CFP is conferred only upon those who demonstrate their proficiency through the successful completion of a series of rigorous examinations and meet other educational and work experience requirements of the College For Financial Planning, and accredited institution for professional studies in financial sciences. DR. RAY SQUIRES, ‘71, was named a senior associate _in the Division of Cardiovascular Diseases and Internal Medicine and head of the Cardiovascular Clinic. Health Clinic at Mayo FLOYD E. JIMMY E. BOYDSTYN, ‘74, has recently chartered the newest regional chapter of the Computer Measurement Group in the Phoenix area. This is an international group for computer planning and measurement _professionals. ROBERT A. VANDENAKER, '74, has been promoted to Western States District Manager for Management Science America, a leading supplier of mainframe computer application software. He was selected Chief of Staff at Castleview Hospital, a 100 bed hospital in Price, Utah. He has established several Pediatric Clinics throughout southeastern Utah.
