Show Former Students—^Students returning to Weber State College after an absence of one or more quarters are required to file an application for readmission at least 30 days in advance of registration. The exception to this procedure is that if the student attended the previous Spring Quarter, application for entrance the following Autumn Quarter is not required. Students who attend Summer Quarter only, and then continue any quarter after, must file a readmission form 30 days in advance of registration. Transfer Student—A student who has never attended Weber State College but has attended another college or university must present an application for admission. This application may be obtained at the Registrar's Office. The student must also submit a transcript of credits from all previous colleges and universities attended. Foreign Students—Before they can be considered for admission, foreign students must submit an application form; health certificate signed by a licensed physician; official transcript in English from each secondary school, college or university attended; certificate, diploma, or government examination report received on completion of secondary school work, and the degree, license, or diploma received on completion of university training abroad; financial statement as evidence the student has funds adequate for school and living expenses. Applicants from countries where English is not the first language must also submit a statement signed by an official of a college or university or an American Consulate or Embassy certifying that the student speaks English fluently and understands written and spoken English. Foreign students planning to enter Weber State College should communicate with the Registrar's Office, Weber State College, Ogden, Utah. Notice of Acceptance—A notice of acceptance will be mailed to all new students who have been accepted by the college. Late Applications—Applications should be submitted at least one month prior to registration. The early presentation of all credentials is necessary in order that the credit may be properly evaluated prior to registration. Applications after this date may result in delay of acceptance and registration. Health Examination—A medical examination is required of every student upon his initial entrance to Weber State College. The student shall have his family physician (M.D.) give the examination and record it on the Weber State College medical examination form, which is mailed to the student at the time his notice of acceptance is mailed. This form must be on file in the Registrar's office prior to registration. 36 FEES, DEPOSITS AND REFUNDS The following fees are required of all full-time students each quarter. All fees for the quarter are due and payable at the Treasurer's Office at the time of registration. The student whose check is dishonored by his bank will be charged $3.00 for handling. OUT-OF-STATE (NONRESIDENT) STUDENT A prospective student whose credentials indicate out-of- state status will be so classified. All requests for resident classification must be filed with the Treasurer's Office. These requests will be considered in accordance with the following general rules: 1. The residence of a minor is determined by that of his legal guardian. 2. Residence in Utah merely for the purpose of attending Weber State College does not entitle the student to resident classification. 3. Resident classification requires permanent residence within the State of Utah for at least one year immediately preceding registration, together with the concurring intention to make Utah one's permanent abode. SPECIAL FEES Special Students (Less than 10 hours)—$6.50 a credit hour, minimum fee, $20.00. Building fee, $3.00 per quarter. Audit Courses—These are courses in which no credit is desired. A charge of $10.00 for each subject is levied. Registration as an auditor is permitted in lecture courses only; no student participation is permitted.
