Show knowledge of the general principles of physics but who have neither thevneed nor the time for laboratory work. Prerequisite: Plane trigonometry. (May be taught with Physics 51.) A (4). Advanced General Physics, Mechanics—General principles, theories, and concepts of physics, with applied problems interpreted and discussed through the extensive use of calculus. Designed for teaching majors and minors in physics, chemistry majors, and others, who may desire an intermediate course between the lower division course and those specialized courses numbered above 111.
