Show All Clippings are from the Standard Examiner Unless Otherwise Noted 1900 West work continues OGDEN - Due to equipment problems, the closure currently in effect on 1900 West (state Route 126) will be extended through Monday, according to the Utah Department of Transportation. While crews set bridge girders over the Weber River, 1900 West is closed from 1350 South in Marriott-Slaterville to 1555 South in West Haven. The road will be closed from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday. Motorists may use Interstate 15 as an alternate route. Business access to the 1350 South industrial park will be maintained via 12th Street and 1900 West. Access to streets south of 1555 South will be from 21st Street. - Standard-Examiner March 23, 2003 Boxes bashed, suspects jailed FARR WEST - Three men may be regretting a weekend mailbox bashing binge after they were all arrested and booked into the Weber County Jail on 12 charges of criminal mischief, one for each mailbox smashed. The individuals, ages 23, 22 and 19, were arrested when Weber County Sheriff's deputies pulled their truck over after they were notified of the venial violation taking place on Pioneer Road from 2700 West to 3400 West. When searching the truck, deputies found a baseball bat and several open containers of alcohol. "They were playing mailbox baseball," said Weber County Sheriff's Lt. Art Haney. None of the men have been charged yet.
