Show entities. President Ilium thanked Mr. Sant for his time and information which will help the Council make decisions should a request for an RDA be presented to them. Dr. George Burbidge, Weber County Storm Water Director, also met with the Council concerning an interlocal cooperation agreement with Weber County for storm water. Dr. Burbidge is mapping the drains in the City, with the help of City officials. He is aware of three drains that Weber County will maintain, which are Four Mile Creek, Mill Creek, and the Ogden-Weber River. He will advise the City on other drains within the area, and who has the responsibility for them, according to state law. Councilman Orvil Holley is concerned about the IRS buildings on 12th Street which belong to Ogden City but drain into Marriott-Slaterville. Dr. Burbidge advised that the City will need to work with Ogden City on problems at those sites. In answer to further questions about the federal mandate, Dr. Burbidge explained that one of the requirements is that roads be swept as needed, and that other regulations, such as anti-degradation of water quality, are still coming. The perennial problem of potholes prompted Pres. Ilium to ask that Council members advise him of existing ones of which they may be aware. He is also working on additional road signs. Marriott-Slaterville has a new Community Resource Officer, Deputy Mark Lowther. He replaced Deputy Ray Day who has served our City well. Ken Martin has been hired to lead the Community Development Department which is responsible for the storm water program, zoning administration, building and inspections. He also oversees development and public works. He previously served for 32 years as a building inspector with North Ogden.
