During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Thursday, January 15, 1953 I have been home all day until this evening I went to hear Mary Davenport in a concert at High School A wonderful Contralto A wonderful singer. A native Ogden woman an Community Concert series assisted by Reid Nibley at Piano. Big crowd very appreciative audience. Many onchors. Snowed most last nite and colder about 10 inches of snow of snow Friday, January 16, 1953 Nice day 38 degrees in afternoon I have been home all day I wrote to Charles Smart & Wife David Peery came up from Provo this evening. A fine grandson. He is doing fine at the BYU in Provo Nothing special Saturday, January 17, 1953 A little rain today I have been home all day except for trip to store Recd letters from Thair saying his wife Margaret is doing fine following her operation on hip David Peery returned to Provo Nice young man. Nothing special Standard Jany 18 1953 Ex Utahn Gets Key U.N. Job WASHINGTON Ralph W. Hardy, an official of the National Association of Radio and Television Broadcasters and a former Utah resident, has been named to an important United Nations post. Hardy will serve on the U.S. National Commission for UNESCO United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization. |
