U.N. Assembly Delays Reports On Atrocities UNITED NATIONS, N. Y. (UP) The United Nations General Assemblys Steering Committee cancelled presentation of its report today on United States charges that North Korean and Chinese Communists maltreated nearly 30,000 war prisoners by beatings, cold blooded murder, multilation and torture. The Steering Committees report, listed as the No. 1 item for the Assemblys morning session, was cancelled to give delegates time to prepare for discussion of the charges. The committee voted 12 2 yesterday to recommend inclusion of the U. S. charges on the assemblys agenda. Russia and Poland cast the two dissenting votes. 6,113 American Victims The United States charges that 6,113 Americans were victims of atrocities committed by the Communists against almost 30,000 United Nations soldiers. The Steering Committee report will probably be taken up at an assembly session sometime next week. Meanwhile, the assembly was scheduled to receive an official visit by King Paul and Queen Frederika of Greece at the afternoon session today. The royal couple was expected to arrive shortly after 1 p.m. (MST) to be welcomed by Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold and Mrs. Vijaya Lakshmi Pandit, president of the general assembly. King Paul was expected make a brief address to the world parliament.
