During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Saturday, October 10, 1953 Beautiful day. I have been home all day. Readg ate wrote three letters. Oertel went to Salt Lake Cleone came in this eveng Sunday, October 11, 1953 Nice day. I attended Stake Priesthood meetg at 8 am Ward Priesthood at 9, Sunday School at 10 and Myra & I attended Sacrament meetng at 5 p.m. A returned missionary Gordon Martensen spoke a returned missionary from Holland. Spoke very well Myrene & Cleone called this eveng Dear girls I visited several sick friends not professionally, but socially Idahoans Return With 500 Elk Standard Oct. 1953 BOISE The Idaho Fish and Game Department reported today that nearly 500 elk were killed in the first 10 days of the general hunt on the Clearwater River, where a herd of 20,000 to 25,000 animals is ranging. Stewart M. Brandborg, department big game biologist, said this years kill on the Clearwater may be the greatest in Idaho history, exceeding the 1952 bag of 4,000 elk. The Clearwater herd is the largest in Idaho. Tuesday, October 13, 1953 Nice day 75 degrees. Myra went to hair dresser.
