During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Standard Oct 27 53 1,000 Naked (Almost) at Paris Ball PARIS More than 1,000 nearly naked men and women cavorted through the night at the annual orgy of the Paris medical students, highlighted by a nude beauty contest. Tradition decrees all female guests wear almost nothing and all male guests, nothing. Only the members of the orchestra were fully clothed. The ostensible reason for the bal des internats, was to honor 100 students who had just passed their internat, the highest French medical examination. Outsiders are strictly barred from the revelries and police were stationed outside through the night to frustrate would be gate crashers. Dermatological students were reported to have staged the most riotous act a chorus of nude nurses who offered free skin examinations. There were it was reported many takers. |
