Show Heres What It Costs Utahns to Bury Their Dead Sept 6 53 SALT LAKE CITY Costs of funerals in Utah was estimated yesterday by the State Health Department at about two million dollars per year. The department said that expenditures in July alone amounted to 175,000. The cost of a funeral, the department said, ranges from 120, if the county pays for it, to 1,500 or more if the survivors think they can afford it. The agency said there were 445 deaths in Utah during the month, compared with 2,106 births. |
