CRAIG BOTT, class of 1974, has been given a management level appointment for Arthur Young & Co. in Salt Lake City. He will continue consulting in various governmental functional areas and serve industry in coordinating impact mitigation requirements with governmental agencies. After graduating from WSC with a B.A. degree in political science, Craig earned a master’s degree in public administration from BYU. DR. DOUGLAS DEIS, class of 1975, was appointed industrial psychologist at Hill Air Force Base. He recently received a Ph.D. from University of Utah, and has been a teaching fellow and an associate instructor of psychology and is now an adjunct professor of psychology at the University of Utah. He owns Behavioral Systems Group, a management consulting firm, and was a manager for the Internal Revenue Service. He also worked as a division manager for a local corporation and as a research consultant for the gifted and talented program in the Ogden City Schools. Misc. GEORGE N. FRANCIS, cashier and director of First National Bank of Morgan, has been named to the Utah Bankers Assn. Board of Directors. He attended both WSC and BYU and has been heavily involved in local government, having served eight years on the Morgan City Council and is a past mayor of Morgan . COMMANDER ERNEST D. PERKINS II, has been named commanding officer of the Navy Data Automation Facility in Newport, RI. He graduated fruin Weber High School in 1957 and attended WSC for one year. He graduated from the Naval Academy in 1962 and has served as a Navy pilot as well as in several command positions. He and his wife, the former Jeanne Christensen of Ogden, have two children. VAL R. BITTON, class of 1978, has been promoted to the position of senior accountant in the audit group of the international accounting firm of Deloitte, Haskins, & Sells in Salt Lake City, Val is a member of the WSC Alumni Board of Directors. He is a CPA and lives with his wife, Linda, and two children in Hunter, Utah. DOREAN CAREY began a school in Clearfield where she is teaching English as a second language to Indochinese refugees. She also teaches them to deal with an alien society, how buses work, to sew, and how to prepare American foods. She got the idea after taking a class in English as a second language at WSC. CYNTHIA JENSEN COHN (student of Police Science, 1974-77) received a Master of Science degree in Judicial Administration from the School of Justice at the American University, Washington, D.C. Her concentration was in Court Administration. After leaving WSC, she earned a BS degree from Pennsylvania State University. She is cur‘rently employed by the law firm of Lee, Toomey, & Kent in Washington, D.C. She is married to Richard L. Cohn (see below). DIANE HANCOCK has been named a member of the Weber County Mental Health Board of Directors. She is a detective with the Juvenile Division of the South Ogden Police Department. Prior to that appointment, she was employed by the Washington Terrace Police Department. Diane is on the Weber County Child Protection Team and its Sexual Abuse Task Force and serves on the Weber County Youth Advisory Board. She is also vice president of the county safety committee. RICHARD L. COHN, class of 1977, recently received a Master of Regional Planning Degree from the graduate school of Pennsylvania State University. He was a recipient of a Pennsylvania Senatorial Scholarship and a student research grant. Richard is employed by the Defense Map:ping Agency, Hydrographic/Topographic Center in Washington, D.C. While at WSC, he was vice president of Kappa Kappa Psi fraternity and was a member of the marching and symphonic bands. He and his wife Cynthia (see above) reside in Falls Church, DEBORAH HOLMES has been named branch manager of Kelly Services, Inc. in Ogden. She joined the international temporary help firm as a supervisor a year ago. Virginia. DR. OLGA ZISUMBO FISCHER, class of 1979, represented WSC President Rodney H. Brady at the inauguration of Robert L. Hardesty as President of Southwest Texas State University last month. Olga lives in Austin, Texas. graduated from the University of Utah College of Medicine. At WSC, he was elected to Phi Kappa Phi. While in medical school, he served as vice president of Clinical. Promotions and was a member of the college council. He has done drug research, and during his third year in medical school was recommended for honors in surgery, psychiatry, pediatrics and obstetrics. He will begin a five-year surgical residency at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York this fall.
