LaMar was named “Outstanding Male Athlete” at the Utah Wheelchair Open in 1979. “T feel my handicap happened for a reason,” LaMar said. “I'm not sure why, but I feel it is up to me to do what I can to help other people overcome their handicaps." LaMar attended the convocation with his lovely fiance and other members of his family.
